Libya Wins Three Awards at 2025 Al-Ahram International Olive Oil Competition
Libya won three awards in the 2025 Al-Ahram International Olive Oil Competition, held in Egypt with the participation of 193 samples of olive oil from 20 countries worldwide.
The Libyan Export Development Center announced that companies registered in the exporters' register won gold and silver medals. Zait Almuzareh Company, based in the city of Zawiya, received the gold medal for the TOOR brand, while Al-Sahil Al-Muttahid Company, based in Msallata, won a silver medal. Additionally, Green Libya Company, based in Tripoli, was awarded a silver medal.
The center emphasized in a statement on its Facebook page on Wednesday that this achievement adds to the records of success and top rankings of Libyan products in terms of quality and high competitiveness.
It is noteworthy that the competition’s judging panel included internationally accredited judges from the International Olive Council, representing countries such as Spain, Italy, the United States, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Jordan, and Egypt. They examined samples of olive oil and table olives.
Companies from seven European countries, six African countries, five Asian countries, as well as two South American countries—Brazil and Argentina—participated in the competition, alongside Egyptian companies.
